Rehearse a conversation before you have it
Practise a calmer opening and one clear request. Type your replies, or use voice in a tool that offers it.

Try the fictional example
You lead a small project. Two late updates made planning harder. You want to agree how to flag delays early without turning the conversation into blame.
Paste the prompt into a tool your workplace permits. Type your replies; voice is optional if your tool offers it. This page does not record audio or send your text to AI.
Your practice prompt
Help me rehearse a fictional conversation with a colleague about late project updates. My aim is to explain the effect on planning, understand what made updates difficult and agree a practical way to flag delays. Play the colleague calmly and realistically. Ask me one question about the outcome I want, then let me practise my opening. Respond one turn at a time. When I say ‘pause’, stop and suggest one clearer phrase and one question I could ask. Do not assess a real employee or advise on disciplinary action.
What a useful result could look like
Authored teaching example · not an AI result
The last two updates arrived after we planned the next step. What got in the way, and how could we flag a delay earlier?
Make it your own
Try changing one detail: your audience, available time or desired outcome. Use fictional or approved information when practising.
Review what you got
- Describe an observable event rather than judging the person.
- Leave room for their point of view.
- Make your request clear. A rehearsal cannot predict their response.
